With an increase in blood pressure, we all face daily, for example, during stress or a surge of emotions. However, pretty soon it returns to its usual figures. But, unfortunately, it also happens that an increase in pressure (up to 140/90 mm Hg and above) goes into the category of persistent conditions. In this case, we are talking about a disease called arterial hypertension, or hypertension.
What are the causes of high blood pressure
Arterial hypertension can occur as an independent disease or as a concomitant to other pathologies: endogenous, renal, neurological. Predisposing factors for high blood pressure are smoking, alcohol and salt abuse, stress, obesity, low physical activity, lack of magnesium and calcium in food, and old age.
Symptoms of hypertension
Hypertension is manifested by headaches, tinnitus, blurred vision, lethargy, sleep disturbance, pain in the heart or behind the sternum.
If you have been diagnosed with hypertension and you often have high blood pressure, you must first of all change your lifestyle and eating habits: give up alcohol and smoking, increase physical activity, lose weight, reduce the amount of salt consumed, lean on vegetable and sour-milk foods; refuse fatty and fried foods. It is very important to control the level of blood pressure. And, of course, see a doctor.
