No matter how carefully we take care of our teeth at home, it is impossible to clean them completely. And this has its consequences: darkening and tarnishing of the enamel, inflammation of the gums, bad breath from the mouth and even being overweight (at least, according to Japanese doctors: the bacteria that accumulate in the mouth cause obesity). So regular and professional teeth cleaning is indispensable.
We asked dentists from a modern private dental clinic about prices for hygienic cleaning of teeth, how to choose your doctor and make an appointment. Porcelain in Kyiv. We will talk about indications and contraindications, types and results of this procedure below.
Who needs a dental cleaning
Above, we decided that a comprehensive teeth cleaning will not be superfluous for anyone, but it is especially necessary:
- before professional whitening;
- before installing fillings, implants and other procedures;
- in the presence of dental plaque;
- with inflammation of the gums;
- to remove tartar;
- before and after removal of braces.
Hygiene procedures in the dental office reduce the risk of caries, gum recession, and periodontal disease. After a visit to the clinic, the teeth brighten by 1–2 tones, the enamel becomes smooth and shiny.
Types of cleaning: what to choose — ultrasound or laser
Teeth cleaning in Kyiv is carried out using ultrasound or laser. Both methods are non-contact, painless and effective, the procedure lasts from 20 to 40 minutes. In the first case, cleaning is performed using a sound wave, which destroys the structure of hard dental deposits and eliminates tartar even in subgingival pockets. Ultrasound is contraindicated in patients under 18 years of age, with chronic asthma and bronchitis, hepatitis, HIV, tuberculosis, cardiac arrhythmia.
Oral hygiene with a laser is a point effect on problem areas. The beam destroys the water molecules in the tartar and they just fall off. At the same time, the enamel does not suffer in any way, because its structure is much stronger. But you will be forbidden to brush your teeth with a laser in any dentistry if you have the contraindications listed above, as well as while wearing braces, pregnancy and lactation.
The patient can independently decide on the procedure, based only on its cost. The final choice should be made by a professional after a personal examination and based on the individual testimony of the client.
