Quarantine in Ukraine will be delayed until May, but with a certain weakening. True, not at all the way people want. The government has announced easing lockdown measures. We tell you what the Ukrainians were allowed to do.

The coronavirus pandemic has forced countries to impose restrictions on people’s lives. Since March 12, all of Ukraine has been under quarantine. The end of isolation was planned on April 24, but new outbreaks of COVID-19 infection are expected in the country.
Therefore, the Cabinet of Ministers recently officially extended the self-isolation measures until May 11, but with a partial relaxation. It is reported by RBC-Ukraine.

According to media reports, the authorities extended the quarantine until May 11, but with a partial easing. The government decree mentions several permits.
- About permission of transportations in city transport to persons wishing to be blood donors.
- About attraction to work of separate categories of workers without passing obligatory inspection.
- On approval of the order of anti-epidemic measures related to the self-isolation of a person.

According to the head of the Ministry of Health Maxim Stepanov, the draft resolution on the extension of quarantine until May 11 proposes to weaken the previously adopted quarantine measures for certain categories of citizens.
“It is proposed to amend the resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers dated March 11, 2020 No. 211. This is a resolution regarding quarantine on the territory of Ukraine. It is planned to extend the quarantine until May 11, 2020. At the same time, it is proposed to allow the transportation in public transport of persons who have expressed a desire to be blood donors”,
he said.
Of course, these “weakenings” are not the ultimate dream of the people. The prolonged quarantine seriously affects the financial situation of Ukrainians. Many were left without work, and a few more weeks of home gatherings do not bring joy. The people want to understand when the work process will be restored, transport and the subway will work.

In turn, representatives of the country cannot name the exact date for the resumption of the transport system. Earlier, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal shared plans for a phased exit from quarantine. According to him, everything will happen gradually, in at least three stages, since two more peaks of COVID-19 are expected in the country — at the end of April and between May 3 and 8.
“We don’t know how powerful they will be. But these are the forecasts that the National Academy of Sciences makes by the calculation method, with other conditions unchanged. That is, under the conditions that we have now. Therefore, at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, based on these calculations, we will extend the quarantine until at least May 11. At the same time, we are already planning to ease some measures,”
the Prime Minister noted.

So, significant changes and a return to normal life should not be expected yet. The authorities note that everything will depend on the situation with the coronavirus in the country.
If the number of infected people decreases and the number of recovered people increases, then Ukrainians will live a normal life. In the meantime, we will wait and monitor the situation.
