Quarantine in Ukraine will be extended again

It became known that another extension of quarantine is planned in Ukraine. At the same time, local authorities will be responsible for easing restrictive measures. Read more about this in our article.

Quarantine in Ukraine

Recall that on May 11, the first stage of quarantine exit began in Ukraine. So, parks and squares have opened, beauty salons, hairdressers, non-food stores and markets have started working. At the same time, preventive measures against COVID-19 disease remained valid. Among them: wearing masks, keeping a distance and using antiseptic and disinfectants.

The quarantine itself, as previously reported, was extended until May 22, after which the country should gradually ease restrictive measures. However, recently it became known about the prospect of extending the quarantine. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal.

Quarantine 2020

“Officially quarantine until May 22, but this is not the final date. We will be extending. The second stage of easing restrictive measures will be introduced when certain conditions are met. That is, when the number of cases will decrease daily over a certain period. Accordingly, the third stage is the unloading of our medicine, ”

the prime minister said.

At the moment, the government is actively developing five stages of exit from quarantine. The final dates are not yet known. Everything will depend on the number of recovered and sick people. If the number of recovered from the coronavirus begins to exceed the number of infected, the easing of measures will be activated.

According to the prime minister, over time, local authorities will be responsible for quarantine. They will be able to strengthen the quarantine so as not to spread the disease, but not weaken it.

coronavirus news

“May 22 is the date until which the quarantine continues, it will be extended, but with a gradual transition to the “adaptive model”, when we continue to ease quarantine measures against the epidemic, but at the same time we will transfer more and more powers to the places, in order to so that the disease can be localized in the city where it occurs,

Shmygal added.

Of course, with the first stage of easing quarantine, people began to actively go out and visit shops. Many of us have already signed up for nails and haircuts. However, no matter how beautiful and warm the weather is, no matter how tired of sitting at home, you should not forget about security measures.

The coronavirus has not disappeared and there may be infected people among people who are not even aware of their diagnosis. So while walking, try to avoid crowded places, continue to wear masks and wash your hands regularly.
