Why do we need fitness bracelets

Fitness model, personal trainer and nutritionist Daria Karelina told us what fitness bracelets are and what these newfangled gadgets are for.

A healthy, lean body and well-being is what we all want! Someone needs to lose a certain amount of kilograms, someone needs to increase centimeters in the right places, but someone needs to say goodbye to beer and forget the way to McDonald’s. But working on yourself is a hard daily work. And, it would seem, we know what needs to be done to achieve the result. Eat right, exercise, everything will work out. But expectations and reality sometimes do not match. You follow the basic rules, but the result is not the same. Surely, many of you have experienced this problem.
So what’s the reason? The answer is simple. In fact, theoretical knowledge in the form of books, articles from the Internet and advice from knowledgeable people is often not enough. Each of us is individual. Therefore, in order to work effectively on oneself and achieve the desired goals, it is necessary to actively monitor your daily results, analyze, identify errors in time and correct them. This is where fitness bracelets, which are so popular today, come to the rescue.

For our country, these are relatively new devices. Therefore, not everyone understands why they are needed and whether they are really so useful. I was lucky to test different devices in action. And I must tell you that even if you have been lying on the couch for 20 years, but you want a slim figure, do not give up your dream! With bracelets, it has become easier to achieve your goals. Now I’ll tell you why.

Technology is advancing at an incredible rate, introducing new solutions that improve the quality of life. At first it was possible to count calories in special programs on a computer, then they migrated to smartphones along with applications that track sleep and physical activity. But the phone is not always and not always possible to take with you. In addition, for an integrated approach, one thing is better, uniting all important areas of life. And then there were fitness bracelets and trackers. Of course, professional sports gadgets have been around for a long time. But usually they are not always clear and accessible to an amateur. Therefore, they did not receive mass distribution. And the era of fitness bracelets gives everyone the opportunity to start consciously leading a healthy lifestyle and get the desired shape. Now everything is simple. I put the device on my hand or hung it around my neck in the form of a pendant, like Misfit, put the application on my phone and that’s it. Your task is to live, and a small device will fix everything, bring it together and provide analytics, helping you understand where to go next.

How can fitness bracelets help you? We are so arranged that we often either underestimate or overestimate ourselves. It may seem as if we are actively moving during the day, but in fact this will not be even 60% of the recommended norm.
We may think that we are getting enough sleep. And at the same time, it is infinitely long to look for the causes of your stress, and, accordingly, low performance in training, the inability to control your appetite. Although the answer will lie just in the lack of sleep.
And the biggest misconceptions, as practice shows, lie in nutrition. And it is 70% of success in the process of working on yourself. No matter how intensely you train, the results will either be disastrous or completely absent if you have nutritional problems.
These are the kinds of misconceptions that hold you back from achieving success. Not other reasons like genetics, lack of fitness, and years of inactivity. Therefore, just bracelets can help you figure out a lot and change yourself forever.

These devices can also be compared to an educational toy. Each of us is interested in learning something new about ourselves. Imagine how exciting the process of knowing yourself day by day can be. How interesting it is to solve problems and set new goals, regularly observing your results on the phone screen. And the competitive moment will always make it easier to cope with any task. Seeing the success of other participants, which is possible in such bracelets as Jawbone, Nike Fuelband, Polar loop, encourages new achievements.

I have tested different bracelets. All of them are interesting and useful in their own way. A variety of functionality and design, of course, can be confusing when choosing. But it’s really not that hard to make a decision. Write down all the goals that you would like to achieve and think about what features it is important for you to track in this regard. After that, open the description of any bracelet and compare it with your tasks. When your search circle narrows, I recommend contacting the point of sale and consulting with the seller, holding the gadget in your hands, trying it on, testing it.

And some practical advice from me.
If you are not sure about your nutrition, the duration and quality of sleep, physical activity, choose a device that allows you to monitor all these processes at the same time. For example, Jawbone and Misfit helped me pay attention to sleep and find out the level of my physical activity. If you swim, then the choice will definitely narrow down to MisFit, because it is waterproof.
If you are unsure about your nutrition and it is a priority for you to follow this component, then it is better to choose Jawbone. It allows you to compare within one application how many calories you burned during the day and how much you consumed. And he also has an incredibly convenient food diary, which has an intuitive interface and allows you to read barcodes (it knows most of our and, of course, foreign products).

For those who care more about physical activity and sports performance, bracelets with a professional bias are definitely suitable, some of which even have built-in heart rate monitors. I am glad that manufacturers are ready to go further, taking into account the interests of people who are passionately involved in sports. I was impressed with the Samsung Gear Fit and Gear 2 bracelets, Nike Fuelband and Polar Loop. All of them have a sporty design, made of high quality materials. Heart rate measurement is available in Samsung Gear Fit, Gear 2 and Polar Loop.

If you think that a beautiful body and a healthy lifestyle is difficult, believe me, it is not! At any time and at any age, you can start working on yourself and get a great body and good health. Do not be afraid to try, especially when there are such convenient and affordable assistants who will accompany you on the way to your dream!
