Mariah Carey loses weight on a purple diet

The famous singer Mari­ah Carey quick­ly returned to her pre­vi­ous forms after giv­ing birth — in order to lose extra pounds, the 44-year-old star switched to a spe­cial diet. Recent­ly, the singer shared the secrets of los­ing weight.



As it turned out, Mari­ah uses the so-called pur­ple diet, which is now gain­ing pop­u­lar­i­ty all over the world. This food sys­tem is extreme­ly sim­ple — it is allowed to use pur­ple foods in any quan­ti­ty.

Mari­ah Carey, for exam­ple, eats only pur­ple foods three times a week — these days her diet includes grapes, plums, blue­ber­ries and oth­er foods of this shade.

The pur­ple diet is quite effec­tive due to the ben­e­fi­cial prop­er­ties of fruits and berries of this unusu­al col­or. The fact is that these prod­ucts con­tain plant pig­ments antho­cyanins — enriched antiox­i­dants that pro­tect the body from harm­ful bac­te­ria, enhance immu­ni­ty and strength­en cap­il­lary walls.

In addi­tion, antho­cyanins slow down the aging process, pre­vent heart dis­ease and tone the body.
