British scientists came to the aid of those who dream of losing weight, but can not cope with a constant appetite.

Quality weight loss usually requires an integrated approach to solving the issue: physical activity, adherence to a proper diet, a healthy lifestyle, constant work on oneself and willpower. Not everyone can boast of self-control and iron discipline, so sooner or later, many who want to lose weight “go the distance.”

However, scientists from the University of Birmingham have developed an innovative method of dealing with excess weight. This method of losing weight is no less effective than the classic ones. Plus, it’s less painful.

During experiments with a variety of substances used in the food industry, the researchers created a unique gel made up of natural ingredients.

In its original state, this slimming drug is a powder with a pleasant citrus smell. After entering the stomach and interacting with digestive juices, the powder swells and increases in volume.

The resulting jelly-like mass has practically no nutritional value; does not contain calories, however, it has weight and can slow down the digestive process.

In this case, the brain receives a signal that there is enough food in the stomach that needs to be digested. Accordingly, the feeling of hunger disappears.

Scientists have not yet determined how much of the “magic powder” should be added to ordinary food for maximum effect: research is still ongoing.
