American scientists, who conducted a large-scale study together with their Spanish colleagues, came to an unexpected conclusion.
It turns out that the success of losing weight largely depends on the timing of the meal. This is especially true for lunch. If you eat dinner earlier, you can lose weight faster and more efficiently.
During the experiment, 420 overweight volunteers were selected. The participants were divided into two groups: the first group had lunch until 15.00, and those in the second group received lunch after this time.
At the end of the study, it turned out that the subjects from the first group lost weight much faster. And the volunteers in the second group were found to have reduced sensitivity to insulin, which increases the risk of developing diabetes.
Scientists have also found that the timing of breakfast and dinner does not matter for weight loss.
