Clay rejuvenates and cleanses the skin, helps to lose weight and even improves health. But for this you need to use it correctly. We’ll tell you how.

Clay is a strong natural adsorbent and antiseptic. If you put a spoonful of any clay in a liter of milk, then even in the heat it will not turn sour for several days. In addition, it contains valuable trace elements in a balanced form. Clay of different colors can be used for cosmetic and medicinal purposes: blue, white, red. Environmentally friendly clay is sold in pharmacies. In no case do not collect clay yourself, especially in the city. It may contain various harmful impurities. Such clay will only harm health. There are few contraindications to clay treatment, but they exist: in particular, high fever, exacerbations of inflammatory processes, etc. So do not forget to consult a doctor.

When coughing dilute 100 g of clay in 1/2 cup of water. Make clay cakes 1–2 cm thick and wrap gauze on the parts of the chest where you feel particular pain when you cough. Warm up the application. Keep no more than 3 hours, then change the clay. Do applications 3 days in a row during periods of particularly strong coughing fits.
For joint pain buy dried plantain leaves at the pharmacy (or collect fresh ones), prepare an infusion from them (1 tablespoon per glass of boiling water). Dilute them with clay to the consistency of sour cream and rub sore joints. Repeat 2 times a day for a week.

For food poisoning clay can also be used. Take 1 table. a spoonful of white clay, dilute in a glass of boiled water and drink. Clay acts like the well-known activated carbon — it absorbs harmful substances and removes them from the body. Just keep in mind: for oral use, clay labeled “medical”, that is, specially purified, prepared and clinically tested. Don’t hurt yourself!
Clay face masks

To cleanse the pores and rejuvenate the skin, dilute the clay with warm water to the consistency of sour cream. Instead of water, you can take cucumber juice, aloe or chamomile decoction. Hold the mask for 15–20 minutes and wash off. When preparing a mask, do not use metal utensils, as some minerals can react with metals and break down. The container can be glass, ceramic, wood or enameled.
Clay rinses and baths
If your throat hurts dilute 1 tsp. a spoonful of any clay in a glass of warm water and gargle with this solution throat 5 times a day. You can also drink several sips of clay water every hour. Thanks to its strong adsorbent and anti-inflammatory properties, clay will remove toxins from the body and help relieve inflammation.
For skin inflammation clay baths are good. 5–7 table. spoons of white or blue clay, dilute in water, pour into a bath of water. You can also add 2–3 drops of your favorite essential oil. Bath temperature — 38–40°C, duration — 10–15 minutes. Such a bath relieves tension and fatigue, tones, eliminates skin flaking and accelerates cell renewal.
Clay for headaches
Clay can also be used to eliminate headaches: dissolve the clay in warm water to a homogeneous consistency, fold it into gauze and apply it to the temples. Hold the compress for up to 25 minutes. Do a clay compress at night for a month. Clay and mint wrap helps with headaches: for this, dissolve the clay in 100 ml of water, add peppermint. Wrap your head with a napkin with clay and mint for 20 minutes. Do a compress for a week.
