Do you often have a sore throat? Engage in strengthening local immunity. One of the most effective ways to prevent sore throats and other diseases of the throat is hardening. We have selected five of the most simple and effective procedures for you. They will help your body become more resistant to attack by bacteria and viruses.

Several times a day, preferably in the morning, afternoon and evening, gargle with cool water. Start at 30 degrees Celsius. Gradually reduce the temperature by 1–2 degrees. Listen to your feelings, if you do not feel discomfort, then eventually bring the water temperature to 8–10 degrees. You should not go below this value. Instead of ordinary water, you can use a solution of sea salt, it has a slight antimicrobial effect. Also, when hardening, you can use medicinal herbs. A decoction of chamomile, St. John’s wort or sage is an excellent remedy for the prevention of angina.

Alternate gargling with cold and warm water. It is important to start with a small temperature difference. The contrast should be increased gradually, in no case should there be sharp jumps. Do the procedure every day. Regularity is the key to success.

Having accustomed the throat to cold using the two previous methods, you can try a more extreme method — hardening with ice cubes. It can be either ordinary water or cubes of frozen herbal tea or fruit juice. It is recommended to dissolve the ice gradually. At first, hold the ice in your mouth for about 15–30 seconds, gradually increase the time.
Drink cold!
From childhood we are accustomed to warm tea, compote, milk. But this is wrong. The habit of drinking cold drinks is an excellent prevention of colds. The body learns to respond adequately to cold, which increases the resistance of local immunity to harmful viruses and bacteria.

This is the most delicious experience! Usually we enjoy ice cream only in summer, but in the cold season you should not deny yourself the pleasure. But don’t get carried away. Start with half a teaspoon of ice cream. Hold it in your mouth for a few seconds and then swallow. Gradually increase the portion.
