Treatment of angina: choosing the right drug

March 21, 2016, 3:17 p.m

Acute tonsillitis — that’s what doctors call angina — cannot be cured by rinsing, compresses and inhalations alone. Such symptomatic treatment helps to reduce inflammation and reduce the intensity of pain. The cause of the disease can be eliminated only with the help of medicines. They are prescribed by a doctor after conducting tests and establishing the causative agent of the disease.

Most often, angina is caused by bacteria (strepto- or staphylococci), fungi or viruses. In each individual case, the treatment should be different. So, with bacterial angina, antibiotics are effective (mainly of the penicillin group). If a swab from the throat did not show the presence of streptococcus, then antibiotics should not be prescribed in any case, because they do not act on viruses and fungi.

Important! If the doctor prescribed a course of antibiotics, then it should be at least 7–10 days. You can not independently reduce the dosage or stop the course prematurely. This can lead to the emergence of resistant forms of bacteria.

Additionally, for the treatment of angina, antipyretics (at high temperature), painkillers for the throat, as well as drugs for local treatment are prescribed. They are available in the form of tablets, lozenges, lozenges, sprays, lubricants and gargles. If there are other symptoms, such as a runny nose or a hoarse voice, appropriate remedies should be used as prescribed by the doctor.

An important factor in the speedy recovery and prevention of recurrent diseases is the strengthening of immunity. For this, the doctor may prescribe the intake of vitamin complexes. Homeopathic remedies are also effective, which act not only on the cause of the disease, but also on the whole organism as a whole, restoring its normal functioning.

In the treatment of tonsillitis and other diseases of the throat, the German natural drug Tonsilotren will help. Thanks to a combination of five components, it relieves inflammation, swelling and pain, restores the protective function of the tonsils, and reduces their volume. It is also important that in addition to the treatment of throat diseases, the drug contributes to the normalization of the immunity of the whole organism as a whole and prevents recurrent diseases. The effectiveness and good tolerability of Tonsilotren have been confirmed by numerous clinical studies. The drug can be used both for the treatment of tonsillitis and for the prevention of exacerbations of chronic tonsillitis. There is also a positive experience with the use of Tonsilotren in the treatment of children with adenoiditis.
